Your total price for product, services, and freight will be stated on your invoice. Specifications may change due to component availability, and prices and configurations are subject to change without notice or obligation prior to acceptance of your order. LAC Portland reserves the right to substitute parts of equal or greater value and function. Any existing or new taxes or fees charged by any governmental authority will be added to your invoice.

Shipment & Receipt
LAC Portland will arrange shipment of the product from the shipping point of origin, Sherwood, OR, to your address using the insured United Parcel Service method you choose. All outbound shipping fees will be paid by the customer and will appear as a line item on the sales invoice. Title to the product passes to you upon delivery to the carrier (UPS), and with that the risk of loss.

You must examine the product when you receive it. If any item is damaged or missing, you must notify LAC Portland promptly. LAC Portland will not consider any claim for damaged or missing items more than thirty days from the delivery date.

Return Policy LAC Portland will accept returns within thirty days of original product shipment date. There is a 5% restocking fee for returned systems that are deemed fully functional by LAC Portland technicians. The customer is responsible for return freight. All returns must be accompanied by an RMA number. Failure to follow product return shipment procedures in How to Make a Warranty Claim below may result in delays processing your return.

Finance Charge
1.5% interest per month will be charged for payments beyond the terms stated on the invoice. If payment is more than sixty days late, the product limited warranty, described below under PRODUCT LIMITED WARRANTY, can be voided at LAC Portland's discretion, with or without notice.


Warranty Statement
LAC Portland warrants to the customer that the product will be free from defects in materials and/or workmanship. LAC Portland-manufactured portable system, workstation, and server parts and labor are covered for 2 years from the date of shipment. Lenovo ThinkCentre and Thinkpad parts and labor are covered for up to 5 years year from the date of shipment, to be determined by the customer at the time of purchase. Lenovo Thinkpad and ThinkCentre warranty period will be indicated on the purchase invoice. Clearance systems parts and labor are covered for 1 year from the date of shipment. Extended warranty plans are available for all systems except Clearance systems, adding up to an additional 4 years to the coverage period. Extended warranty plans do not extend the basic coverage for standalone LCD panels (2 year for standalone LCD panel) or laptop batteries (1 year for laptop batteries).

Dead Pixel Policy
LAC Portland follows the manufacturer dead pixel policy for standalone LCD panels (ViewSonic, Samsung) and for Lenovo Thinkpad LCD panels (Lenovo).

This limited warranty covers normal use. LAC Portland does not warrant and is not responsible for:

  1. Damage caused by failure to provide a suitable installation or operating environment for the product.
  2. Damage caused by improper maintenance of or failure to maintain the product.
  3. Damage caused by impact with other objects, dropping, falls, spilled liquids, or immersion in liquids.
  4. Damage caused by a power surge or by a disaster such as fire, flood, wind, earthquake, or lightning.
  5. Damage caused by unauthorized attachments, alterations, or modifications.
  6. Damage caused by the use of the product for purposes other than those for which it is customarily used.
  7. Damage caused by any other abuse, misuse, mishandling, or misapplication.
  8. Accessories or other products or services of companies other than LAC Portland.
  9. Damage caused by programs, data, viruses, or other files.
  10. Damage resulting from failure to back up data or other files.

How to Make a Warranty Claim
Whether you are obtaining replacement parts, having repairs done, or returning the product for replacement, the following procedures must be followed. Failure to follow the procedures detailed in this section may result in delays in the replacement of parts, repair, or replacement of your product, or may result in additional charges to your account. LAC Portland reserves the right to refuse to accept products where these procedures are not followed. Warranty service may be denied or limited if your account is not in good standing, including outstanding debt for advanced replacement parts not returned to LAC Portland.

To initiate a warranty claim, contact LAC Portland technical support by e-mail at, by phone, or in writing.

If the technician decides that LAC Portland will replace part(s) or product, he or she will issue an RMA number by e-mail. When sending the part(s) or product back for service, please reference the RMA number on the shipping label or on the outside of the package(s).

For advanced replacement, you must return the defective part(s) or product within ten days of receipt of the RMA shipment unless you are authorized in writing by LAC Portland to retain or dispose of the part(s) or product. If you fail to return the defective part(s) or product within ten days of receipt of the RMA shipment, you are responsible for the original sales value of the replacement part(s) or product.

Return the product in the original packing materials, or if these are not available, other suitable packing materials to prevent further damage. Reference the RMA number on the shipping label, or write the RMA number in large, clear characters on the outside of each box you ship. Failure to include the RMA number may result in delays. For your protection, insure the shipment for full replacement value. You are responsible for any damage to the product or loss that occurs during shipment to LAC Portland.

Back up all files before returning the product for repair or replacement. LAC Portland is not responsible for any loss of your data. You acknowledge and agree that the diagnostic or repair services of LAC Portland are provided without any obligation of confidentiality or non-disclosure on the part of LAC Portland. You are advised to delete or otherwise remove from the product, prior to delivering the product to LAC Portland, any files or data you consider private, confidential, or proprietary. You understand and agree that a failure to delete or otherwise remove such files or data shall constitute your waiver of any privacy, confidentiality, or proprietary rights with respect to such files or data.

International Customers
The limited warranty is the same for clients who are located outside of the United States, except as stated in this paragraph. On all orders for replacement parts or product, you must pay for the replacement parts or product and shipping and handling costs before LAC Portland will ship the replacement parts or product. LAC Portland will refund the cost of the replacement parts or product when you return the defective parts or product to LAC Portland. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. LAC Portland is not responsible for any customs fees or taxes that may be due. You are responsible for these charges, even if you refuse delivery of the product. On all orders for service, you are responsible for shipping, handling, and insurance charges to and from LAC Portland, customs fees, or taxes that may be due.
